Our Story
Pittsburgh Wallpaper Company was founded by husband and wife team Douglas and Jessica Rutamu. It was born out of their need to design commercial spaces for their businesses, real estate ventures and most personally their own home. Wallcovering services seemed to be not only in short supply, they were typically lacking in the design consultation, product sourcing and client relations. Jessica and Douglas, with their love for wallcovering and design, enthusiastically set out to meet this need for others seeking to elevate their spaces.

From simple to more elaborate, there is no project too small or large for Pittsburgh Wallpaper Company. Whether it be jumping right in and hanging a wallpaper you've already chosen on one accent wall or taking you through the design and selection process, removing old paper, prepping walls to the actual installation, we are here to see you through it all.
